A little pre wedding shoot photo fun

The pre-wedding photo session is more than just a photo shoot.  It's the chance for the couple to view the latest presentation options including new albums that were not available when they booked me.
We also confirm the schedule and group photos.  It's important to ensure only one schedule exists.  A couple of venues this year have their own schedule, which can cause problems or at the very least make things seem rushed.

It's your wedding, make sure your plans and schedule are their plans and schedule.

OK, so we've talked about groups, schedules and you've chosen your album, now it's a good time to take a few photos and maybe try something a little different.

Nothing too faked, just you two being relaxed and together.

Though it can be a good time to play with some new kit.  Which is what I did above.  We'd talked about a set photo they'd like on their wedding day.. it's a big panoramic possibly for the last double page in their album and would require some flash lighting, so now was a good time to setup a little remote lighting shot.

I really prefer natural light and like the washed out retro style of an overexposed image in to strong sunlight, however balancing it with some off camera flash helps retain detail.

By the end of the little photo session everyone is relaxed, they realise I'm the easy going un-stressed photographer they hoped I was and not a photo ogre or diva or prone to artistic tantrums.

So the pre-wedding photo session is done, you've decided your group photos, I'm aware of the schedule, we're all good to go.
